This weekends threatened snow fall has come as a bit of a surprise hasn’t it?
I was rather hoping to have a full selection of Easter plants, bulb planters and fresh Easter wreaths outside Cowdray Farm shop by today but this latest weather front has delayed my plans.
My wild primula are all potted up and ready for the plant carts at Cowdray Farm Shop and I’ve got a wonderful selection of tulips including Flaming Parrot, Queen of the Night and Carnival de Nice which I’m holding back until next week along with some British Bluebells which have stated to shoot.

Oh well, at least they’re predicting that it’ll be over by early next week and then we’ll be full steam ahead with Easter and warmer temperatures again.
Easter Wreaths
Mimosa and scented narcissi wreath on a willow base - beautifully scented and with feathers and a little bird. I often use bulbs tied onto the willow wreaths which will flower over Easter and can them be planted in the garden. I offer a service at Cowdray Farm Shop where customers can bring their willow wreaths back each year so that I can dress them again for Christmas, Easter or any other occasion
I did manage to plant up more bulbs for forcing indoors and I’ve decorated them with my signature feathers and quails eggs. The ones in the photo above are made with a fabulous pale blue Iris and a equally fabulous pale blue mimosa.
